Position Overview:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, heavy equipment and light duty repairs and related systems. The successful candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines to identify issues and determine necessary repairs onsite.
- Repair and replace defective parts, components, or systems on diesel engines, including but not limited to fuel systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, and electrical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups, to ensure optimal performance and longevity of diesel engines.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems accurately.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
- Document all work performed, including repairs, parts used, and hours worked, accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to provide updates on repair progress, explain technical issues, and offer recommendations for preventive maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in technology, and best practices in diesel engine repair and maintenance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, such as scan tools, multimeters, and pressure gauges, to troubleshoot and diagnose engine problems accurately.

  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to perform repairs and maintenance tasks effectively.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
