About the Role

Responsibilities:

- Serve as primary client contact as needed within the service process.
- Promoting the necessity for diagnostics and calibrations at the assigned shop
- Responsible for performing precise calibrations for all types of Advanced Drivers Assist Systems (ADAS) across most vehicle makes and models
- Utilize various OEM tools and diagnostic equipment to make the most effective recommendations for repairs and calibrations on multiple makes and models
- Perform pre and post-vehicle calibration documentation, prepare report paperwork for customers
- Perform basic R/I procedures to access sensors and control modules
- Act as a subject matter expert and adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals consistently
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in e-learning or other training sessions to stay well-informed about rapidly changing automotive technology
- Responsible for driving customer or company vehicles for the purpose of delivery, testing or calibration
- Utilize an understanding of the structure and practices of various types of repair facilities, body shops, and insurance carriers to facilitate effective working relationships
- Collaborate with other technicians to perform in-depth diagnostic test plans
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules.

Requirements

Experience & Qualifications:

  • At least 2-years automotive repair experience

  • Trade school experience a plus

  • ASE or I-CAR certifications a plus

  • Ability to learn and understand collision repair processes and terminology

  • Understanding of technology & basic software programs

  • Ability to learn Aftermarket and OEM diagnostic scan tools and factory software

  • Knowledge and ability to use computers, mobile devices, and related technology efficiently

  • Travel may be required for continuing education and certification training

  • Self -motivated, positive attitude, with a customer focused vision

  • Ability to develop relationships and foster a high level customer experience

  • Perform static and dynamic ADAS Calibrations on foreign, domestic and EV (electric) vehicles on site

  • Troubleshoot complex calibration repairs

  • Test drive vehicles after repairs are completed

  • Adequately explain ADAS calibration specifications and repair planning needs; to include collision repair center personnel, insurance adjusters, and direct customers

  • Basic knowledge of how to remove and install vehicle parts – Example: Bumper, trim panels, mirrors

  • Complete pre and post scans with OE and/or aftermarket tools, communicate outcome effectively

  • After training completion, must be able to complete static and dynamic calibrations per OE Specifications

  • Communicate with field team to ensure efficiency and productivity

  • Responsible for ensuring tooling software updates are completed immediately

  • Participate in virtual (online) training sessions as needed

  • Complete assigned training and certifications as needed

  • Perform other related duties as assigned
