About the Role


The Field Technician II will work inside automotive repair facilities supporting vehicle diagnostic scans and calibration processes for collision-related repairs. This role requires strong time management, professionalism, technical aptitude, and the ability to work directly with customers and repair shop personnel.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact throughout the diagnostic and calibration process

  • Promote the importance of diagnostics and calibrations within assigned repair facilities

  • Coordinate and set up vehicles for diagnostic scans, manual tests, and technical evaluations

  • Assist remote technicians by performing vehicle setup and supporting calibration procedures

  • Perform or assist with static and dynamic calibration setups using diagnostic equipment

  • Drive customer or company vehicles as needed for testing, delivery, or calibration purposes

  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and environmental guidelines

  • Maintain professionalism while working independently and within team environments

  • Support production efficiency while ensuring high-quality service standards

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of automotive industry experience in an entry-level technician, lube technician, or related role

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required

  • Basic understanding of automotive systems, manufacturer terminology, and repair processes

  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn diagnostic and calibration procedures

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

  • Technical or vocational automotive training preferred

  • Dealership or collision repair experience is considered a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed inside automotive repair facilities that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, and wet conditions

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds

  • Comfortable using safety equipment and working around vehicles and repair equipment

  • Some travel within the assigned geographic area may be required
