About the Role

Summary/objective
The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the existing clients. These clients are some of the largest third-party administrators in the automobile warranty industry. The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by building and managing these accounts and relationships. The role requires a strong focus on upselling and cross-selling to existing clients and securing contract renewals.

  • Adapt at Joint Solution Development, Co-creation of solutions, and reaching agreement with clients on complex solutions.

  • Strategic Account and Opportunity Planning. Develops and executes sales plans and coordinates sales efforts to achieve new customer revenue and existing customer up-sell revenue.

  • Meets or exceeds defined sales quota through strategic account planning, networking, and use of company resources.

  • Multifunctional Account Team Leadership. Act as the single point of contact for major clients, ensuring seamless communication and follow-up.

  • Overall Account relationship and outcome management. Monitor and report on customer health metrics, taking proactive steps in addressing opportunities and challenges that may arise.

  • Strong preference for experience selling automotive technology/ managed services.

  • Actively participates in industry trade shows.

  • Use a strategic sales approach that creates value for our major clients and adds to the company’s capabilities and reputation.

  • Maintains a thorough understanding of all the product offerings and tailoring its presentation to meet the needs of different types of clients.

  • Assists clients in developing the business case and value proposition for proposed solutions when necessary.

  • Collaborates with Performance Management Team and Sales Leadership in executing the company’s sales process including proposal development.

  • Tracks and maintains all client activity in Salesforce.com.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor degree in a related field preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of Strategic Account Management experience

  • Financial/Business Acumen

  • Strategic Thinking

  • Strong Customer Orientation

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient with Salesforce.com

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)



Preferred Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of the automotive warranty industry landscape with existing relationships

  • Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

  • Excellent communication and influence skills

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Good presentation skills

  • Excellent report writing skills

  • Solid organizational and follow up skills

  • Strong problem solving and conflict management skills

  • Track record for exceeding goals within established timelines

  • Demonstrated ability to attain high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction
