About the Role
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, receiving, shipping, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proven track record of optimizing warehouse processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and shipping of products.
· Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes to optimize workflow and maximize productivity.
· Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
· Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
· Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
· Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to coordinate activities and improve overall efficiency.
· Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools to track inventory, monitor performance, and generate reports.
· Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
· Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and other relevant data.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in Industrial Distribution.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or other process improvement methodologies.
