About the Role

Summary/objective
The IT Support Specialist, OEM Tools, will maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Essential Functions
· Partner with Operations teams across the company to ensure continuity of OEM tools and provide ongoing cross department communication.
· Work with the R&D team to continue development and provide support for operational issues.
· Assist the ServiceDesk on any tickets and issues that come in from Operations.
· Assist in troubleshooting and escalation of issues that may arise.
· Install and configure software and hardware.
· Manage network servers and technology tools.
· Set up accounts and workstations.
· Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
· Troubleshoot issues and outages.
· Maintain an internal document repository with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.



Preferred Qualifications:


  • 1-3 years in Information Technology or IT Support

  • Some experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role

  • Experience with patch management

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Some experience working with cloud-based technologies from AWS.

  • Knowledge of security products; i.e., endpoint protection.

  • Familiarity with Windows 10 and Windows Server.

  • Professional demeanor

  • Efficient in time management and multi-tasking capabilities.

  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.

  • Reliability and Accountability.

  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department and corporate goals.

  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
