About the Role

Job Summary


Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for its growing European business. This role is responsible for overseeing talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, compensation, and organizational development while partnering closely with business leaders to support strategic growth.

The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is passionate about building a positive workplace culture. This position offers the opportunity to influence people strategies across multiple departments while ensuring compliance with Dutch and European employment regulations.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead all day-to-day Human Resources operations for the regional office.

  • Partner with department leaders on workforce planning, organizational development, and succession planning.

  • Oversee recruitment efforts, onboarding programs, and employee retention initiatives.

  • Provide guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.

  • Ensure compliance with Dutch labor laws, GDPR requirements, and applicable European employment regulations.

  • Manage compensation reviews, salary benchmarking, and employee benefits programs.

  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Coordinate employee engagement programs and professional development initiatives.

  • Support leadership with coaching, talent development, and change management efforts.

  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare workforce analytics and reports.

  • Manage relationships with external HR vendors, recruiters, and employment agencies.

  • Foster a culture centered on collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.

  • At least 2 years of experience in an HR leadership or management role.

  • Strong knowledge of Dutch employment law and general European HR practices.

  • Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and performance management.

  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, BambooHR, UKG, or similar platforms.

  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are highly desirable.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CIPD, or equivalent HR certification.

  • Experience supporting multinational or international organizations.

  • Knowledge of employment practices across multiple European countries.

  • Experience leading organizational change or business expansion initiatives.
