About the Role
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to maintain inventory accuracy within a high-volume distribution facility. This position supports cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, warehouse management systems, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
Conduct daily cycle counts and scheduled inventory audits.
Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Maintain accurate product locations, quantities, and transaction records.
Warehouse Operations
Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and order fulfillment teams.
Identify damaged, misplaced, or obsolete inventory.
Support inventory slotting and storage optimization.
Reporting & Compliance
Generate inventory accuracy and variance reports.
Assist with annual physical inventory procedures.
Follow warehouse safety and inventory control policies.
Requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of warehouse inventory or distribution experience.
Experience with warehouse management systems.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong numerical accuracy and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet operational deadlines.
Additional Qualifications
Experience with SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, or similar WMS platforms preferred.
Forklift or reach truck experience.
Familiarity with barcode scanning and RF inventory systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an active warehouse environment.
