About the Role

Job Summary


Our client is seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of multifamily residential communities across the Southeast. This leadership position is responsible for driving financial performance, maximizing occupancy, improving resident satisfaction, and developing high-performing onsite management teams.

The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a strong background in multifamily property management, financial reporting, budgeting, and operational excellence. This role requires frequent travel between properties and close collaboration with ownership, regional leadership, and onsite teams to ensure each community operates efficiently and delivers an exceptional resident experience.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of multifamily apartment communities.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to Property Managers and onsite teams.

  • Develop and manage annual operating budgets, capital improvement plans, and financial forecasts.

  • Monitor property financial performance, including NOI, occupancy, collections, and operating expenses.

  • Review financial statements and implement strategies to improve profitability.

  • Conduct regular site visits to evaluate operations, curb appeal, maintenance standards, and resident satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, local regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

  • Partner with maintenance leadership to prioritize capital projects and preventive maintenance initiatives.

  • Support leasing and marketing efforts to maximize occupancy and resident retention.

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop future property management leaders.

  • Prepare operational reports and present portfolio performance to executive leadership.

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices across the portfolio.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of multifamily property management experience.

  • At least 2 years of experience managing multiple communities or a regional portfolio.

  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with property management software such as Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, OneSite, or AppFolio.

  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the assigned region.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.


Preferred Qualifications

  • CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) designation.

  • CPM (Certified Property Manager) or ARM certification through IREM.

  • Experience managing Class A, Class B, or mixed-use multifamily communities.

  • Experience overseeing value-add renovation projects.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
